Advent December 12 Home

Today was my surgery day
I was nervous of what they might find
and actually glad i had good reason
to cut me up.
it could've gone a few ways -  but ive been blessed with the better way
it's behind me now
and my black scarred up gallbladder out
best part was...my daughter was the best mom to me
she's home!
and i'm gonna be just fine :)

i live in a far away valley at the edge of a great wood out west. i sniffed out this patch of dirt
with my hound dog heart, dug a lil hole and settled in. its home to my roots in spirit not place
where little girls play in simple cotton dresses a long, long time ago. i will always feel the safest
here when little green buds come back to remind me.

Still Life of a Home

So, I cheated a little. Home. Still lifes everywhere. Little shrines of who we are. A row of retired passed down cowboy boots and a cat shedding on the fruit bowl. (who put his bed there anyways?!) Just a snippet. Enjoy.

I am so sorry for the delay...you wouldn't believe the interruptions, technical failures, the crashing computer....unbelievable and not worth explaining.

Suprise Guests

8pm bedtime Once upon a Time.... a large beaked dodo bird and a wise deer appeared

and as i offered my hand for a pet an elephant
tried to snatch an imaginary peanut right out of my hand.

when i turned around to see it , it was gone, like that.

but the wise deer remained

and enchanted us with his stillness.
